Our History
The Piraeus Marine Club began as an inspired idea in 1966, aiming to create a welcoming space where maritime professionals could connect and enjoy the club’s amenities.
Officially established in 1968, the Club has grown from its roots in Piraeus into a recognized center for networking, professional growth, and camaraderie within the shipping industry. Today, with over 400 members, the Club’s logo is a proud symbol of their shared dedication to the maritime world.

Our heritage
The Piraeus Marine Club's rich history is one of ambition, collaboration and innovation. It all started with an impromptu gathering of shipping executives at the Athens Hilton Hotel in 1966.
That conversation led to the creation of one of Greece’s most esteemed maritime clubs, officially inaugurated on January 29, 1968. Since then, the Club has undergone several transformations, including a major renovation in 1992, which introduced the stunning Sky Lounge with its panoramic views of Piraeus.
Over the years, the Club’s premises have welcome influential figures in shipping, economy, politics and the academia and organized high-profile industry events, remaining a crucial player in the global maritime network.
As a member, you will join a prestigious network of global shipping professionals who gather to share insights, celebrate milestones, and support one another in both business and friendship.

The Piraeus Marine Club offers two beautifully designed dining halls, each serving a thoughtfully curated menu of Greek and international cuisine.

Miltiadis A. Marinakis Hall
A cozy, relaxed setting overlooking the passenger port of Piraeus, complete with an elegant bar. This floor offers a welcoming space for casual meetings, lunches, coffee, drinks, or simply enjoying a cigar.

Ioannis Z. Tourvas Hall
Recently renovated, the bar offers a tasteful blend of elegance and comfort. An ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee, an afternoon drink, or a light meal in a calm and refined atmosphere.

Stavros A. Daifas Hall
For a more formal dining experience, this hall features equally stunning views of the Port of Piraeus. The menu offers a blend of traditional Greek cuisine and international favorites, crafted from top-quality seasonal ingredients.
9th Floor
Stamatios Macias Restis Hall
A private area where members can host company luncheons, executive meetings, business presentations, or seminars, with the option to enjoy a buffet or à la carte menu.

Becoming a member is simple. Download and complete the application form for the category that suits you. As with most professional clubs, two existing members have to sponsor the applicant.
