The idea for the Piraeus Marine Club was born in May 1966, during a casual celebration at the Athens Hilton bar after the sale of a Niarchos tanker.

A few handwritten pledges on a bar menu sparked what would become a unique meeting place for the shipping world.

By January 1968, with the help of founding members and support from key banks, the Club opened its doors in the heart of the port.

Over the years, it’s grown into a warm, elegant space: a true home for business, conversation, and connection.
