On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, a working luncheon was held at the Piraeus Marine Club, with the Minister for State Mr Makis Voridis as guest of honour speaker.
Our members had the opportunity to pose questions to the Minister Mr. Makis Voridis, a constructive dialogue, with a view and ideas exchanging on current issues concerning Greece, the challenges of the upcoming European elections and the important role of Shipping.
Special mention was made of the significant contribution of 50.000.000 euros from the UNION OF GREEK SHIPOWNERS through the wider maritime world, as an effort to restore the damages in Thessaly.

On Wednesday March 20th a working luncheon took place at the Piraeus Marine Club with honorary guest speaker the Minister of National Economy and Finance Mr Kostis Hatzidakis titled: «the prospects of the National Economy and the impact on shipping».
Our members had the opportunity to pose questions to the minister Mr Kostis Hatzidakis and this contributing to a constructive dialogue with a view to exchanging opinion and ideas concerning the financial as well as shipping events of our country driven by a desire to address issues concerning Greek shipping, its further development and pave the way for a stronger future in the industry.
The event culminated with Mr Hatzidakis being awarded an honorary commemorative plaque.

PMC 7th VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION ON THURSDAY MARCH 28th FOR ALEXANDROS STAMATIADIS BLOOD BANK
The increased sense of social responsibility, of empathy and offering to his fellow man wich is evident all through the workings of the Piraeus Marine Club, has lead to the establishment of a blood bank in 2019, discretely named Alexandros Stamatiadis in memory of our deceased member under the auspices of Vlon blood bank.
In an effort to expand its reserves Piraeus Marine Club is organizing its 7th group Voluntary blood donation, inviting all its members along with company personnel on Thursday March 28th, from 9.00-13.00 on the 9th floor, «Stamatiou Masia Resti» hall. Donors will be guided and served by an experienced medical and nursing staff. Complimentary fresh juice, coffee and sandwiches will be offered to all.

PMC WORKING LUNCHEON – HONORARY GUEST SPEAKER THE MINISTER OF LABOUR AND SOCIAL SECURITY MRS DOMNA MICHAILIDOU
The Piraeus Marine Club on Wednesday February 21st , hosted a working luncheon titled : « Professional Opportunities and Prospects in Greece and Shipping », its honorary guest speaker being the Minister for Labour and Social Security Mrs Domna Mihailidou.
After an interesting initial presentation by the minister, a very lively discussion ensued with a plethora of issues and questions from our members, regarding the digital work card, «myNAT», as well as job prospects on sea and land.
The essence of the whole discussion was not only the clarifying answers on the part of the minister herself but also arranging meetings with relative organizations to talk on issues concerning our Shipping Community.
